Let's not be hypocritical here, Science hasn't buried God, because science is not a philosophy, it doesn't draw any conclusions, it's a scientific method. A method to study something and gain knowledge, understanding via repeatable experimentation. It can test and examine and that's it - people conclude in their minds and interpret the results.
By the way, which coincidently shows there is no such thing as objective observation of an experiment, it is all biased by the observer and what he or she believes.
☆ So Science hasn't concluded the existence of God or absence per say. Because God in its highest meaning is an ABSTRACT IDEA - you can argue for it or against it - Science doesn't deal or answer abstract ideas. Philosophies do or ideologies that have fixed world views.
☆Who concluded then? Well ideology of scientific-materialism of course. In this ideology there is no God and everything must be a natural process. There is no influence of information on the environment you live by Human Beings or any other form of consciousness be it God or someone else, it denies mind and it denies independent existence of consciousness and its potential to influence the world around or be a starting point where ideas via mind can exist and be formulated by consciousness.
People who infaticly promote it cannot explain any basics of how anything begins, neither at chemical level or at cosmological by mindless random purposeless process.
☆Materialism is debilitating to Human exploration of Self and world around as was Catholic church during the middle ages. It claims there are ideas we can test scientifically and ideas we cannot, there are implications we can accept and others that do not fit our ideology we can ignore and same with data interpretation of any discovery or experiment. If it supports materialism we praise it and use it, if not we ignore it. One of these examples is found in Quantum Physics of double slit experiment, where it was clearly demonstrated that observation of a scientist influences outcome of experiment - killing illusion of Objective Scientific Observation via repeatable experiment. Materialists are ignoring this implication or seeking to explain it away. Denial is fearsome.
☆I know that Intelligent Design people are trying to use science likewise to prove their world view, however I'm not much bothered by this since many of their ideas are correct - such as influence of information on environment or in the process of making building blocks at chemical or cell level and that there must be higher mind that exist beyond physical realm that must provide information for material physical world to come into existence. It is not yet scientifically proven since proponents of intelligent design are not seriously interested to test their ideas, however they are doing great job at pointing short comings of scientific-materialism, basically debunking their arguments. So while having somewhat valid ideas and correct observations their conclusion is wrong - they claim it proves Christianity to be true, even though Jesus never was Christian nor even started any.
You can say some of them just argue or tie it to the creator and idea of everything being created but again what does that have to do with science? So again Intelligent Design is an attempt to establish scientific ideology that confirms "God" world view, specifically Christian. It's no different to what scientific-materialism is doing and people who believe in it.
☆People forget that conflict between these two ideologies is nothing new. All communist societies, such as Soviet Russia and Mao's China or Pal pot's incursion or Nazi Germany is fundamentally based on Atheism and materialism. And everyone knows about the middle ages and what the church has been doing during its times. Even in ancient Greece you have proponents of materialism and those who claim theism. It’s just in our days they literally hijacked science to promote it and hence the name scientific-materialism.
☆Both trying to pollute science with its presence of ideology - fighting over world view instead of following the evidence and late discoveries, ever expanding humankind's understanding about who they are and life around them. Both claim final understanding on Life - one says there is God and another there is not. And we all know that people who fight to prove their world view are not interested in any learning and progress and why would they? They already found a final understanding about life, the final "truth" about Life as they say. In reality they just made their present mental box a "reality" in their own minds. And as with any mental box - it's just a mental construct and not a reality - a fiction of imagination.
This is why proponents of Intelligent Design will never push it into true scientific exploration beyond what is needed to validate their theistic worldview. Which will be shattered by real scientists in the coming decades. Same goes for materialism. Discoveries that challenge current paradigms already have been made, they just have been ignored or explained away.
